AUSTRALIA
050S UK TOUR 2017
GAME
7 AUSTRALIA 050S VS WARWICKSHIRE 050S
AT
SHIPTON ON STOUR CC WARWICKSHIRE
TUESDAY
25 th JULY 2017
If
your social life isn’t now completely ruined by reading this drivel
and you don’t fall instantly asleep with the arrival of another
boring and mundane missive from the Australian 050’s cricket UK
battle front, you will be immediately aware that despite what was
indicated in yesterday’s report game 7 today is against
Warwickshire 050s and not the English Counties XI which is in fact on
tomorrow Wednesday of this week. That would be patently obvious to
all earnest followers of our great tour and the fact that no-none has
corrected me so far is somewhat troubling in the least. It means that
indeed life hasn’t stopped back home awaiting our tour results.
Despite this trifling and minor obstacle here is another mundane
report.
Yes
another swim and another full English breakfast to start another
humdrum boring touring day….. see below!
Warwickshire
finished second in the ECB standings for group 4 and promise to be a
formidable opponent. The drive to the ground found 2 vehicles missing
the disguised turnoff at shipton on stour but we all finally arrived
safely. Warwick Hayes and Fabian Heaton volunteered to go to the
local Laundromat and hand wash all of the player dirty clothes which
showed how well trained they were from their partners back home.
Have we bored you enough already?
As
for matters cricket we won the toss and sent them in on a powered
wicket. Our team consisted of Paul Stenhouse Capt; Gordon McGurk;
Ross Belstead; Dave Crocker; Wayne Miles; Tim Sargent; Mick Munro;
Mal Coleman; Noel Raymond; Alan Chellew; Clayton Johnson wkper; and
Geoff Doyle. It was Dave Crocker’s last game before he returns to
see the reported carnage at home.
